Introduction to Quilt Making - with Jennifer Mellow



Learn the foundational skills of cutting and piecing as you create a sampler quilt of your own. This course is designed to help the beginning quilter gain confidence with fabric choice, piecing skills, quilting terminology, pressing techniques and much more. These fundamentals will open you up to the wonderful world of quilting. With 4 class sessions over 8 weeks you will learn each step needed to complete a quilt from assembling blocks, sashing and borders, to quilting and binding your quilt.

Jennifer Mellow is an award winning quiltmaker known as an enthusiastic and encouraging teacher. With over 20 years of quilting experience, she brings a variety of techniques to quiltmakers of all levels. Jennifer motivates and inspires students by helping quilters improve through tried and true methods for speed and accuracy. Her depth of knowledge is evident through each step of quiltmaking from fabric selection to piecing techniques and quilting options for your next project. Her quilts have been shown at Road to California, American Quilter's Society shows in Paducah, KY, and was awarded 1st place at the San Diego Quilt Show in 2019.
